The project transforms an area of 800 sqm into open offices for AHK and its service company DE International. The project defines functionality and analyses the relationship between them. Workspaces are divided in areas of interest where each sector is composed of an operating team and an office manager. Adaptive functional office spaces are created with partitions which define new environments. Glass partitions marks office manager spaces and directorate offices are situated in strategic locations with wide, bright windows and a private meeting room. A large assembly hall that can accommodate 30 people is located to the left and can be divided in three smaller meeting rooms. The Headquarter office is accessed through an open space, which is identified by a reception desk on the right and the core of the project - “Mediatheque”. This focal figure with round off triangular shapes made from 170 splints is designed for the Chamber of Commerce associates and is fabricated from cherry-wood. Mediatheck acts as a showcase space where Chamber’s associates can present their products and new projects. It is a highly flexible space where it can be fully open to the entrance, allowing fluid access and showcase its content while it can become completely closed and allow for private space.
